► LAN SCANNER
Analyze your local network with the LAN Scanner tool. Discover who are connected to your network and Ping it is a matter of two taps.
Easily manage custom subnets to scan only a portion of your LAN.

► PING
Ping a LAN device, Ping a server, ping whatever you want. IPv6 addresses are supported too and advanced options like packet size, timeouts, intervals, etc.. are available and easily configurable.

Very nice app

This is a well designed app, with a very clean, freindly interface. My primary interest was transfer speed, and the GeoIP and Whois functions. The GeoIP works great, and supports IPv6 addresses, as well as IPv4. It give a nice clean map view, with an info button with more of the key info. The whois is pretty standard but also has an exceptionally clean and simple disply.

The Scanner is also nice and clean, and provides only the most basic info but it does that in a nicer form that I've seen in most similar network scanners, so if you only need basic info, this is great.

Ping works very well and also has a useful, nice, clean display. Dig is not something I'm familiar with but doesn't seem to give me anything I need. The lookup (nameserver?) function is of minimal if any use to me, but seems to work well.

My only issue is with the main info display/screen. Though the Preferences allow you to set the units for transfer speed, the display ignores than, and the units change on the display as the value goes up and down, making the value dislayed of little or no use, and actually quite frustrating, providing values that can jump from 10 to 600 (in different units) which is actually 10 and 0.6. Other than this flaw, and a few other minor things like a limited choice of full-scale settings for the meters.Also, things like the order of the communication interfaces doesn't make sen (e.g. Thunderbolt 1 and Thunderbolt 2 are nowhere near eachother on the display).

A few minor tweaks/fixes, and this will be a perfect app of its type, with a far nicer interface design than I've seen in any other. Btw, the widgets may be handy for some, and the tool bar option as well, but I simply use the main app interface.
