I love it!

I was using another wardrobe app, which I enjoyed, but after listening to what three of my favourite YouTube content creators had to say about Indyx, I decided to give it a try. As with any other wardrobe app, there’s a lot of work involved in loading pictures and information about all the items in your closet. What I loved immediately about Indyx was how beautiful the program made each item look. That’s really important to me, especially as I style the items in looks to which I want to refer in the future. The selfie option is amazing! I’d never seen that before, and it’s so useful to have. I have no idea how the program makes the selfies look so good! I also love the option of working with a stylist, which I plan to do once I’ve uploaded enough outfits for them to get a good idea of my style. I LOVE using this app, and strongly recommend it.

Unworkable, impossible to get started

This app has a clean modern look and lots of influencers pushing it, but that’s where the positives end. The app isn’t user friendly and it takes forever to get started with cataloguing your wardrobe on here compared to other apps.

Every single item that you to upload needs a selection for brand, category, colour, size (why do the developers need this much information from you when it’s not even used to suggest outfits or show stats?) and there is no way to skip adding that info into the app. Other apps out there use AI to automatically select categories and colours as you upload items. I wanted to bulk upload my photos but it’s impossible to do that with Indyx since you can’t leave these fields blank.

Despite gathering all this info, the app can’t calculate basic closet stats like cost per wear. Future plans include an in-app marketplace but with the user base so small I can’t imagine anyone asked for or will use this feature.

Almost everyone I’ve seen promoting the app has been an influencer who had someone from the company meet them in person so catalogue their wardrobe for them. That’s likely because of how tedious the process is for the average person, to the point whether it’s prohibitive to getting started with this app.

The final straw for me is that that the developers also don’t respond to questions or feedback unless you’re an influencer (I asked a question on social media that’s been unanswered for weeks now).

Game Changer!

Wow. This is my first time using a wardrobe app and it is life changing. Even just taking the time to photograph and upload my wardrobe has changed my whole relationship with what’s in my closet.
I have decluttered my wardrobe, wear more of what I have and am currently packing for a trip by creating outfits, I cannot get enough!
