I just had to cancel my trip due to the Corona Virus pandemic. I expected a full credit due to the unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately I was told I could have a one time change at no charge which is great but I don’t know when next I’ll be able to take my vacation and actually my company forbids its employees from travelling OUTSIDE OF QUEBEC!!! I don’t know how long this corona virus pandemic is going to go on either!! So I had to take the other option of a credit...only to find out it’ll cost me $200!! Which I HAD to pay upfront! Why not just deduct it from what you’re crediting me? And it has to used with the same 2 people that were on the tickets to begin with and only with WestJet; within 1 year of the date the tickets were issued. We booked Jan 24th to travel March 23rd...so we already basically lost 2 months. It’s a big disappointment! Big ripoff given the worldwide situation right now. Very very disappointing.
FRAUD - SCAM
They are just gonna scam you and try to take more money from you!!
I put my information to buy a ticket that was selling for 400CAD$ and once i was done buying, it said it was pending and someone was gonna get in touch with me. I got a call telling me that the ticket wasn't available anymore (but i could still see online many tickets available for that flight during the call). So they tried to sell me other tickets starting at 800US$ and when I said i wanted to cancel, he said it wasn't possible. I insisted and he then said there was a fee to cancel, 150$US. Later on when i said i found better tickets somewhere else he said to buy those tickets and send him the info and the confirmation number and just then he would cancel me for free. He got pretty agressive over the phone and wouldn't stop calling and texting me. I had to get a new card and cancel the one i put in the app.
