The Land Rover Remote App keeps you in touch with your Land Rover when you're not in your vehicle, delivering greater control than ever before over security and comfort settings.
The App's enhanced features, improved functionality and intuitive interface affords peace of mind, more efficient journey planning and greater well-being for you and your passengers.
Use the App to remotely:
- Prepare for a trip by checking fuel range and dashboard alerts
- Locate your vehicle on a map and get walking directions to it
- Check if doors or windows are open
- View journey information
- In the event of a breakdown, request Optimized Land Rover Assistance
- Plan future journeys and sync with your vehicle*
- Connect your favorite music and lifestyle applications to your InControl account for use in vehicle.*
For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium, the following additional features are available:
- Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required
- Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey*
- Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with 'beep and flash' functionality.

Download the Land Rover InControl Remote App and then log in using your Land Rover InControl username and password to connect to your vehicle. This App requires subscription to one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:
- InControl Protect
- InControl Remote
- InControl Remote Premium.

Total luxury
Being able to start your car from inside your house is Luxury. I love this feature of being able to get into a car that’s already pre-warmed. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Anti-ease-of-use
The primary function of a “remote” app should be to remotely control the vehicle. However this app’s default landing page is a useless status screen that tells me what my license plate number is and the local weather as if the team that built this app didn’t realize people have dedicated weather apps on their phones that does a way better job. This default screen also shows me whether the car is locked and alarmed, but offers no option to lock and unlock with a single tap. Instead you have to navigate to a separate “remote” screen for that. Not to mention before you can get to the controls, you have to accept an annoying disclaimer, every, single, time, and there’s no way to tell the app to not show it again in the future. Once you are on the remote screen, starting climate, locking and unlocking, and beeping and flashing are separated on three different tabs. This is done deliberately on a screen that has nearly four times the surface area of my physical car key. It puzzles me why the UI designer thinks they need to separate them into multiple tabs where an industrial designer can fit almost all of the same functionality on a single side of a key fob… team, if you are reading these reviews, would you please consider simplifying the app, and put the remote control buttons on a single screen and make that the default view?
Lacking features
For such a premium car I expect more features. Can’t turn on my heated seats. Can’t open windows or sunroof. Can’t put multiple users on the same account… my wife and I both use this car.
