Lifecraft is the first digital life coach. Lifecraft does not collect any personal information and does not allow ads. Lifecraft only syncs with iCloud, not a private server that can be hacked (like certain other apps). Lifecraft data is fully encrypted so no-one, not even us, can access it.

• Compass messages can be translated into more than 100 languages (in the iOS version). If the messages are first read in the iOS version, the translated text will appear in the Mac version.
• It’s now easier to start a Compass message on one device and continue it on another.
• Zee can speak journal entries & Compass messages (recommend downloading an Enhanced or Premium voice like “Ava”).
• New photo browser for inserting photos/videos into journal entries (requires macOS 13).
• Redesigned Entry list. Instead of combining the LIST and CALENDAR in a single view, there’s now a List/Calendar control for switching between the two modes. This makes the interface much cleaner and easier to use.
• Redesigned More (···) view. Added a More > Insert button for all commands that insert content (photos, calendar events, links, etc.)
• A dashed list can be started in a journal entry by typing a hyphen followed by a space at the start of a line.
• Control-click a journal entry in the entry list to open a shortcuts menu.
• It’s now easier to create sub-journals.
• Many improvements to the Import/Export/Backup features. The Day One import feature works. Video, audio and PDF files are now correctly imported.
• Lifecraft now uses Apple’s weather service, which provides more detailed weather forecasts. This includes 10 days of forecasts with hourly weather for each day (hours can be selected to see the conditions for that hour). This feature requires macOS 13.
• Added a setting that controls whether weather is included in printouts/PDFs.
• When an entry is printed or exported to PDF, images are now scaled better so they don’t fill the entire page width.
• Smoother animation when new messages are added to the Compass view.
• Improved colors in the Compass view, especially when the Conrad theme is selected.
• Improved journal icons.
• Many user interface improvements.
• App is faster and uses less memory.
• Lifecraft now uses the latest App Store framework for easier subscription purchasing/verification.

BUG FIXES
• Fixed a bug where the text of an entry created from a template may not be the correct color when the Conrad theme is selected.
• If a new journal entry was created by clicking “Start Writing” in a Compass message AND the Conrad theme was selected, the entry text was sometimes the wrong color (dark text on a dark background) - fixed.
• Fixed several text color problems when inserting text in a journal entry while the Conrad theme is selected.
• Fixed a bug where the text of an entry created from a template may not be the correct color when the Conrad theme is selected.
• Fixed a bug that occurred when entering an emotion between 11PM and midnight.
• If a voice recording was trimmed so the entire recording was deleted, then the recording was continued, the original recording wouldn’t actually be deleted - fixed.
• Entries weren’t always sorted by date when exporting to JSON/PDF - fixed.
• Many more bug fixes.

Nice app for journalling or just keeping notes

I orginally hd some issues with the app, crashed and a bit buggy on my MacBook Pro after my purchase in Nov/2017 but the updates have fixed these and it has been running pretty smooth for the last 6-7 months. Service response was pretty fast. I moved to the Pro version and it was worth the price. Provides sync with my iPhone and iPadseamlessly and fast. Password protected. Very simple app but with enough options to make it just nice to use. I don’t use the emotion for the purpose it was devised for, but for another method of classifying and tagging my entries for easier cross reference.

Absolutely amazing! Incredibly useful.

I am a journaling ADDICT. Seriously. I have purchased almost every single “journal” app, Notebook type app, etc. for my iPad, phone, OLD Mac and PC. I have used The Journal by DavidRM on my PC for at least 15 years. I adored the writing prompts and flexibility. Those are things I found lacking in journals on Apple systems and, sadly, I can’t used The Journal on my Mac or iPad or iPhone.

I have now used LifeCraft since March 2020 (it is August 2020 as I write this review).

There are several things i adore about LifeCraft. The user interface is bright, or dark, as I choose. I like that flexibility. While I wish the screeen were more word processor like, it still has the options to change font, size, colour, layout, etc. It allows insertion of photos. The pprompts are fantastic. The Challenges are thoroughly enjoyable. The mood part I’m still trying to figure out. I’d love if it instered that at the top of each entry, perhaps with an emoji. Maybe it does and I’m missing something.

Finally, thank you for keeping this affordable. I’m on a fixed income and can’t afford the majority of subscriptions offered on the app store. This is one app I would hate to give up because I couldn’t afford it.

Images and videos request

You should be able to place the photos and videos how ever you see fit. I uslually like to write and put photos according to the text and tell the story like that.
