Lifeguard App is enabled by the registered user before consuming opiods. After 50 seconds, the app will sound an alarm, which will go louder unless the person presses the stop button. After 75 seconds, if the user is still unable to deactivate the alarm, a text-to-voice call will go direct to 9-1-1, alerting emergency medical services of a potential overdose, and parademics will dispatch to the user's exact location.
