With apologies to the nice people at Oxford, dictionaries don’t usually look all that great. But LookUp is a dictionary for those with a penchant for aesthetics; the app delivers its daily definitions with illustrations that trigger both sides of your brain. Learn from a mahoosive collection of words like reticent, impresario, and mahoosive, which, we just learned, is really a word. Tap a card for pronunciations, origins, and synonyms; heart a word if you have a particular adulation for it.

Beautiful but does not sync to Watch

Firstly. this is a beautiful app and the use of images really enhances the user experience. Unfortunately, the collections and favourites do not sync between the iPhone and the Apple Watch which is disappointing

Not like it says it is

Downloaded for the word of the day widget feature advertised, which doesn’t work, the widget shows nothing

And the word of the day stopped after 2 days even in the app and haven’t showed anything. Had a potential but didn’t turn out to be nice.
