This app requires a Lutron total home control system (RadioRA® 2 or HomeWorks® QS) programmed using the appropriate version of design and programming software along with the Lutron Connect Bridge.*


Control from anywhere
Control lights, shades, temperature, keypads, and more in the comfort of your home or from anywhere in the world – the office, the airport, the beach – set your home to a comfortable temperature when returning from a trip, ensure lights aren't left on and shades aren't left open while you're away.

Personalize your keypad buttons
Add, edit, and remove button settings on your own. Make temporary adjustments for special occasions, or permanent changes to match your preferences.

Right on schedule
Schedule scenes to happen automatically at set times of day, or based on sunrise and sunset. Turn on your porch light at dusk, turn it off at dawn, or open your shades in the morning to wake up with the sun.

Geofencing (iPhone only)
Receive a notification if you’ve left the lights on after leaving home, then turn them off right from your Today Widget.

Adjust the brightness, color (warm/cool color temperature as well as full color) and Vibrancy with a quick and simple interface. Ketra lighting can transform your home by changing the mood from warm and relaxing to bright and energizing, enhance the details of your home decor, and add color to accent the environment and create a dramatic or festive mood.

Today Widget
Set your favorite scenes from your home screen using the Today Widget. No need to launch the app.

Low Battery
Receive low battery indications for battery-powered shades, Pico wireless controls, and Radio Powr Savr sensors to know when it's time to replace their batteries.

Good for Apple but App is downgrade

The app provides integration with Apple Home kit which is appreciated. However, It is a downgrade from Home Control app which no longer works. There are now more steps required for the same command and toggling between lights or blinds is not intuitive; requiring more time.
I am told an upgrade to this app is coming in June. Would be good for Lutron to confirm if that is the case.

Zero support from Lutron

When I called Lutron tech support yesterday (because Lutron Home Control app is giving me error message “could not connect to the system) they said the app has been buggy ever since ios13.1 but they decided not to do anything to fix it because they announced they will stop supporting the app in April 2020, and everyone will be required to move to this new app which I tried to download but it didn’t work for the following reason. The tech support agent said that in order to maintain the same functionality I had before I will need to 1) buy new hardware (ie Lutron Bridge ($220); and 2) pay Lutron installer (presumably >$800).

I’m frustrated with this because 1) it’s clearly not April 2020 yet and implicit in saying you will stop supporting something in April 2020 is that you will support it up until then, which they are not doing; and 2) when I paid through the nose a few years ago for a new Lutron system I was not expecting Lutron to institute this planned obsolescence of the product I purchased.

I’m in the midst of building our new home and this experience will likely cause me to decide to avoid giving Lutron my business again.
