Ratings and Reviews
Surprisingly good
I have been using all kinds of Nav apps this one is surprisingly impressive.
Things are good:
*React fast, way better than Waze.
*Detailed map information, for example street #.
*Show alternative routes at the preview.
*apple CarPlay
*offline maps, this is a proper offline map like TomTom.
Things could be better:
*address searching feels sluggish.
*searching results are not always relevant, for example Im in Toronto, sometimes the first few results are in US.
*ability to search along the route.
*searching by name, when I typed in “Square One” (one of the largest mall in GTA), I was surprised to see no relevant result came up.
*Toll, it is useful to show toll route in preview even though it’s being toggled “Avoid Toll”.
* Toll, I think it’s going to be very useful to allow users to easily switch between toll and avoid toll. In many occasions, while driving in peak hours, I have to make a quick decision whether or not to enter toll, how much time it’s going to save me. As of now, when you toggle the Avoid Toll after started, the current route is canceled.
* Toll, in Ontario, the fee is based on km travelled. It will be great if the app is smart enough to direct the driver off the toll if the ETA becomes similar.
* The UI can be improved.

Hi and many thanks for your detailed feedback. We have forwarded to our developers so they can take it into consideration for future app versions.
In Magic Earth, when performing a search, the results are influenced by the map/area displayed on the screen. For example, if the map is positioned on US, the first search results will be from US and not from Toronto.
To search along your route during navigation, tap the bottom bar, tap the magnifying glass, then tap the icons of the available categories (tap the 3 dots for more categories).

Issues need attention
First of all, not cool charging for a once free app. The satellite function blurred out and finally, cannot read addresses in dark mode.
Used to work. Not anymore
The app used to work pretty good, and I liked it (a good 4 stars rating I would say).
I am located in Canada. Whenever I search, I get results from Europe (Ukraine, etc...) like 10000 km from my location! (Even if I press the blue arrow to match my actual location before searching, as suggested in a similar review).
I’ll change rating/update review if the situation changes :)
