Used to be great until they took away all the features and put them behind a paywall.

In case you didn’t know, as an old user, you will keep all the free models you owned (anime models and old female models included) in the old app, and everything you have bought from our previous Asset Store. In regards to our new pricing model, we’d like to explain what led to the change in hopes that you will better understand our decision and pricing like hundreds of thousands of users who embraced our change towards a much better Magic Poser. As you’ve remembered, our old app offered many, many things for free, from most of our models, to essentially all of our features, and as a result, we simply weren’t making enough money to keep updating and maintaining the app. Developing and maintaining a high quality 3D app such as this is incredibly time consuming and expensive, especially with a team as small as ours.


As a result, we had to make a change, because if we were to continue using the old pricing system, Magic Poser very likely wouldn’t be here today. It was a difficult process, but we made the right decision this time, as it has helped make our small team financially stable and has allowed us to continue implementing more amazing features and improvements for the app, and for our users like you!

I used to use this a lot, it was very helpful and I enjoyed having a proper reference for my art but ever since the new update everything I used to use is now locked behind payment. Before the new update I used to be able to use all presets and was able to add characters to my poses but now it’s all locked behind pro. Same with different body shapes and size, I was so excited when I saw I could change the weight or body type of my poses but it’s all locked behind the payment again. I would use this again if EVERYTHING wasn’t locked behind payments, literally the worst decision your development team has created :) fking hate this update. Your dev responses are stupid too

Second, our app still includes a Free version - we haven’t locked everything behind payments. It comes with many essential features, such as a top quality male model, realistic and adjustable lighting, 10+ props, 50 free presets, and our full brand new 3D editor, etc. It allows users to try out the app and familiarize themselves, and you can certainly create as many interesting poses and scenes as you’d like with the male model and geometric props we provide.

Third, please also let us share why we moved onto our current pricing plan, and we hope that you will better understand our decision and pricing like hundreds of thousands of our users who embraced our change towards a much better Magic Poser: When we made many features free in the past, we weren’t making enough money to keep maintaining and updating the app. Therefore, after conducting numerous user interviews and research for over 2 years, we carefully chose our new pricing model. Our users want a high quality app with many more features, and to develop and maintain such an app is only possible if we charge a nominal fee for certain features.The current pricing model is the perfect balance of being both best for you and best for the Magic Poser app. It was a difficult process, but we made the right decision this time. It will help make our small team financially sound so that we can continue to implement more amazing features and improvements for the app and for our users like you.

You have to pay damn money just to add a other guy 16:00 dollars

I wanted to take a moment and give you the correct information to help you choose the best tool for you in the App Store: Adding unlimited models in a scene, multiple light sources, multiple light types, body morphs, hundreds of hand and body presets, and more are included in our full version called the Pro version, which is a one-time fee of $9.99. The Master version (which is $14.99, not $16 dollars), is our subscription version for users who need access to our entire asset library at a fraction of the cost, unlimited 3D export and import, and even more preset poses. More will be added to both Pro and Master (like animal models, skeleton model, more clothing, and more), but you do not have to pay for Master if you want our full suite of features outside 3d export. Please understand that you are not paying to pose unlimited models, you are paying to unlock the full app suite. And when you pay on one platform (should you choose to), you will keep Pro on additional platforms this new version is coming to: Android, PC and Mac. We understand that we could not fit your budget needs, and are truly sorry we could not do so. We made this change to pricing after testing, research and interviews over the past 2 years, after we saw that our previous pricing was not sustainable (we would have closed Magic Poser and all development).
