INTRO
In medical school, we learn a lot about diseases and the basis for their management. However, we are traditionally less exposed to apparently easy problems like pain, nausea or hypokalemia. Quite often, those issues are brought to the attention of the nursing staff in the evening. At that time, the treating team is away and you're on call, running all over the hospital.

MD on Call gives you tips on how to QUICKLY assess and manage (acutely) common problems so you can go on assessing the next patient, or to your room to get some well deserved sleep. -- it is NOT meant to replace a textbook --

Simple to use, quick to load, and has references too for further reading.

Twenty years ago I played the "on-call" game as a clinical clerk, an intern, and a resident. Then after that I played the "on-call" game as an attending physician for five years. I now, and for the past 16 years, have Been playing the "on call" game as a Board Certified Specialist and hope to do so for 16 more years.
Cutting to the chase, after all of my "on call" game experience if there is one thing that could have helped me more than anything it would have and now does it is having this Application in the palm of my hand!
I ensist any one who works "on call" buy and use this FIVE STAR application, you'll never regret it for a second. I anxiously awaited the upgrade to v.1.01 and would say that it was worth the wait.

Awesome. Still makes me use my brain a little, which is good, but prompts for all the important/critical things to ask/assess/do/document.
Useful not only on call, but also in emerg.
