  • Gets you out of your office

One of the biggest issues with employees stressing and burning out is people eating at their desks. MealPal forces you to explore and try different dishes, at an affordable rate. Love the app and the service!

  • Would not recommend and would not support this company

Extremely disappointed with this company, especially at a time where everyone is struggling to get through the pandemic. Because of the lockdown, most restaurants are shut down and people work from home in which case you can put your plan on hold. However, since the pandemic is on going, I had asked for a refund for my subscription for the portion I did not use so the money can be better used somewhere else since no restaurants are open and the credits expire at the end of 2020. The customer service was horrible and not only did they not offer a refund in the subscription I cannot use, but in order to use the credit, they require that I purchase another 12 meals. Absolutely ridiculous and will not support a company that will make situations worse for consumers during this difficult time.

  • Love the concept, hate the execution

This company is quite shady. You don’t get any sort of confirmation of your charges. Their purchase flow is written in a way that is not entirely clear that you’ll be charged immediately. And after the purchase flow, there is no confirmation saying you just finished paying for something, or even the total you just paid! You don’t receive any sort of email either, you only find out when it appears on your credit card bill. How are you supposed to keep track of when your plan starts and ends?? On 2 occasions in the same year, they have ended my subscription earlier then they were supposed to but you wouldn’t even be able to tell because they don’t allow you access to your inactive accounts history or details unless you pay for another plan. I had to spend time going through credit card statements to figure out the correct date I purchased and counts the days from there. And they also accidentally charged me for an additional plan while I was on an active plan (this also happened to 2 other people I know at the same time as me). Since they never send receipts, you’ll never know again if they charged you unless you are really on top of your credit card statements. You can’t cancel the automatic subscriptions within the app, and forces you to do it on a web browser. Even then, it’s not forward on how to cancel. Overall, they are really sketchy and only about taking your money. If you confront them about their mistake, they’ll rectify it and give you a free meal added to your account. They can afford this because they scam so many people.

  • Total scam

    davytaytay

Signed up and was instantly charged 94 dollars despite not knowing what I was buying, I just wanted to check out their selection before opting in , but I was not given that chance, it says in their terms of use , I was to be given a trial period , which I was not given. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!

  • Don’t show the near by restaurant upfront

    Amsunhasav

This app doesn’t show restaurants availability upfront. After registering and subscribing, you find there are no restaurants near to your home or work and end up with 1 month subscription charges that are more than 100 bucks. This is a scam and not a good business practice.

  • Not worth it

    LunchEater

I used it 3 years ago, tried again now and found it useless, they just took my money and didn’t provide anything in response. Number of options 5 times less than before and at some places you have to stay in the line since you are a rear bird now. Also it’s hard to order 12 meals in a month now since you WFH most of the time. Understood that it’s not MP fault, but they should have adjusted their plans and approach. Cancelled it with sad feelings that wasted another $100. Don’t do it, think twice!
