Works well, some glitches/crashes
The app works well and is convenient to sync between devices (e.g., desktop and iPad). However, some constant glitches are quite annoying. After highlighting one page of a PDF with an Apple Pencil, the highlighter function stops on the next page, and I must exit the PDF or fiddle between switching the pen’s functionality as navigation and highlighter until it finally recognizes the highlighter function. This has been a problem since I began using this app 5 months ago.
Occasional crashes during normal use and during multitasking, but not frequent enough to make the app unusable.
I can recommend this app if you no longer have access to your office printer and need to make a switch to a tablet reader. The functionality and convenience is better than the native Apple PDF reader, but the crashes and glitches make it less than ideal.
Note: I use Mendeley on Windows 10 laptop and iPad Pro 12.9 (1st gen, always most recent iOS).
App crashes. Update says it took care of that problem but it didn’t
It is very hard to give a good rating to an app that crashes every time I try to open it. You’re better off to use the desktop version or print your documents. I don’t want to go back a decade in my technology when I have 150+ articles to sift through.
Full of bugs
I use Mendeley on my iPad Pro 12.9 3rd. After I update to the ipadOS 13, it cannot be used anymore. Every time I open it, it will crash and does not response any more. Hope your engineers and experts can fix the bugs ASAP. I really enjoy read and marks papers on Mendeley.
