MLB needs a playoff specific app.
MLB audio is a disaster
This App reminds me of the movie “Jaws”, and an endless loop of Captain Quint bring the meeting to order by dragging his fingers down a chalkboard. I listen to Red Sox in Canada. App used to be 3.5+/- block from WEEI/Red Sox Flagship station. MLB/Audacy now try to resell local ads in game. Except for me, at end of inning, game cuts away to 3 minute of static. Fake crowd noise? No it sounds more like a soundtrack to evict a third world dictator. Being originally from area, I liked the local ads and updates on charity work of the Jimmy Fund. Wow, who would if actually thought I would like three minutes of static blasted at an elevated level on my ears? Let’s not forget the sloppy returns after three minutes of static missing batters, plays, and 3/4 of a story/analysis of the latest developments. I would ask MLB/Audacity to listen to an entire game with headphones and have a sanity check afterwards. There is no continuity in the delivered product. Have written a half dozen times to bring back the old system, never a meaningful response. Pretty obvious they don’t care. As a final coupe de grâce, recent update to IOS 16 makes all my IPods unusable. Have cancelled auto renewal and trying to secure refund. Am willing to pay incrementally more to bring back previous style without ad insertion. Suggest only purchase for one month or trial prior to purchase.
