I liked this system to be honest

We did enjoy using this bike system. Not all bikes were great but some were. That’s not for the 1 star. It’s because they are A-ok about charging you for something you are not using . We did our Vancouver trip. We are back home in Edmonton and are still charging us. Called to cancel ya no problem but we will charge you another 30 days. Not one or two days but 30. Nice! Talk about scammers .

By far the worst bike share system I've seen

This app doesn't even recognize your location. Everything about Vancouver's system reeks of corruption and waste. The pads on the bikes tell you to choose a button to proceed but the actual numbers don't fit on the screen so you have to guess. To check out a bike you have to put in a 6 digit code PLUS your pin. And you can't even use the app to get support it's so broken. Just a complete embarrassment for the city.

WARNING for all current and new users (Gmail user specific)

I’ve had and used Mobi bike for over a year.

The company auto charged me today for a monthly subscription. I had only ridden the bike once in the prior month and was not looking to ride in November so I had called customer support. I told them I was charged today and if they could cancel and refund this subscription. They said no they can’t because they had sent an email to all users notifying of their renewal. She then asked if I am a Gmail user and said most likely the email is in junk. I checked my junk email and there it was. I said well since I didn’t see it could you refund me? She said no because they had still notified me… This sounds absurd to me. So Mobi knows that there is an issue with Gmail users yet they still keep this “policy” and choose to charge gmail users. I asked if I can speak to a manager she said no and she knows that even though she escalates this issue I will not get a refund.

I looked into the Mobi app as well to see if I can cancel this auto renewal on the app. No option found on the app. The only way is to stop my current plan which if you do so your plan cancel at that same day even if you have extra days (ie. I’m in day 23 of 30 days. I hit cancel, those 7 days are gone).

My guess is that they know their customers don’t use their service on the colder months so they are “weathering the storm” by charging and refusing to refund, but now they are just creating dissatisfied customers who are unlikely to use their app.

So now I will call my bank and dispute this since I feel like this is a scam/fraud on Mobi. I mean I was just charged today and I called today… Please be aware everyone! Stay safe!
