Nice surprise....
I was looking forward to this until i installed the app..... just to realize you need to pay 399$ to unlock the actual app... knowing beforehand would have been nice. The app looks cool tho... on youtube

Hello, we released a new version, where you can test the facial tracking for free. You can record a facial motion capture data locally and then send it to Maya via email or air drop. Then in Maya you can test the data and also see a video for reference. Team MocapX
Well...it’s complicated
Our company was looking into this app potentially for our new facial mocap pipeline. MocapX is actually pretty nice on the customer support end. We got in touch with them and the communication has been positive.
In terms of the plugin, well after extensive tests on multiple rigs and face system, we can see the huge potential for this plugin and how it will help indie and small studio to streamline their facial mocap workflow. Unfortunately we still think this needs some improvement.
The live streaming part (phone end) is really well done and the connection is stable. However we think its really challenging to integrate into a more intensive production, mostly due to its fixed and rigid workflow within the plugin. Also we think the plugin needs some more iterations to improve some functionality, performance and user experience issues, so it can be more artist friendly and stable in general. We’ve been constantly giving feedback to the dev team and really hope some of the issues can be addressed soon so more artists can benefit from this unique workflow.
