My Family Room is a secure service provided by the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) that gives parents and guardians access to time-saving features and can help make communicating with your school easier.
With My Family Room, you can:
• Register for School: if you are new to the UCDSB or have another child ready for school, skip the paper forms and register online.
• Report Lates & Absences: let your school know if your child will be late or absent by reporting through the mobile app or website.
• Receive absence notifications to your smartphone, and either call the school or respond online to immediately let the school know that your child is safe.
• Receive phone calls, emails, or text messages pertaining to your child, such as absence notifications, school emergencies, bus cancellations, and school events.
• Easily customize your contact preferences for how to receive emergency and urgent notifications (for example, receive urgent notification by text message, while having non-urgent notifications go to your email).
• Provide consent electronically for school activities and field trips.
• Conveniently approve and pay for school events on the mobile app or website. Payment processing is by industry leader PayPal so you can be sure that your banking information is secure and protected by PCI-DSS industry security standards. Events you have approved and paid for automatically get added to your child's calendar which can be viewed in My Family Room.
• View your child’s school calendar online, including PD days, exam days, and other calendar items entered by your child’s teachers and school staff.
• View key contact information for your child’s school, such as phone numbers and email addresses for Principals, Vice-Principals, and office staff.
• View your child’s contact and demographic information on file (address and phone numbers), plus health information, transportation details, and absence history.
Why do we need to type the password every single time with no option to save it. My phone is already password protected I’d like to be able to just click in and get to my kids stuff. Also the allergies page has no ability to edit, and despite the fact I informed the school about some they are not listed in the app.

Good afternoon Erows,Thank you for your feedback! We understand how important convenience and accurate information are.Much like other apps that require sign-in, My Family Room doesn’t save your password directly. Instead, password-saving is handled by your device—on Apple devices, that’s typically through your iCloud Keychain. If you're being prompted to enter your password every time, it may be worth checking your device settings to ensure Keychain and Face ID/Touch ID are enabled. As for the allergies section, the information shown in the app comes directly from your child’s school records live while you're looking at it, this is not a matter of the Apps records being different from the School records. Schools are responsible for maintaining this data, so if an allergy is missing, we recommend following up with your school to ensure the information is updated in their system. We really appreciate you sharing your experience—it helps us continue to improve the app in collaboration with schools.

Our child started school here this year. This app has not worked since the start of the school year. There is currently a fundraiser that donations can only be made through the app and no way of making any

We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this must be—especially with time-sensitive items like fundraisers. If you're unable to see your child or access events in the app, it's possible your My Family Room account is not properly linked to your student, or there may be a configuration issue on the school’s end. Please reach out to our support team using the "Contact Us" option at My Family Room 'Help' site, and we'll be happy to look into it right away. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to making the experience better for all families.

In the My Family Room 4.3.10 release, report cards are easier to find: when a school publishes a new report card, it now remains in Action Items until you open it, and then stays there for 10 days after the first open for quick access. You can still find all report cards anytime in the Students screen under the Students Documents. This update also includes behind-the-scenes fixes and policy housekeeping to improve reliability and consistency.
