My Tree provides a list of selected trees of Canada and their hardiness zones to allow Canadians to choose a suitable tree for their environment. This application allows users to identify their Canadian hardiness zone using their mobile device’s GPS or manually via a touch screen and determine which native and introduced trees are adapted to the climate in their location and other hardiness zones within Canada. Users can access photos, illustrations, and basic information on each tree profiled in the application.
Version 1.5 includes an additional 92 introduced species, giving Canadians a larger selection of trees to plant. There are also more colour photos and new filter options to help users find their ideal trees.

Not prioritizing Native Species?
The data collected is great and very thorough; the menus and organization are very intuitive, however who is this aimed for? If it is aimed for the average homeowner putting a tree in their backyard, why are you encouraging non-native species? Native species should not be treated equal to Non-native species. That is how and why so many invasive species are plaguing the landscape.
