Works but not perfect

Just got my new 2022 Mazda CX-5 sport design and I love the car. It’s a huge plus to have this app and it does work for the most part.My only issue is that the app sends a lot of notifications to my phone. For instance, I start the car through the app and everything is successful. The car did start but when I open the car door I immediately get a notification saying auto start failed even though it was previously successful.The app also divides its notifications into categories which can be a bit annoying when you’re trying to look for that one unread notification. It would be nice to have all notifications show up and maybe have an option to filter by type.Other than that I find the app is nice to have for the vehicles.

You need to select the top right corner ‘hamburger menu’ Settings  Push notifications and select the appropriate option (vehicle status alert, remote control etc.) to turn the notification for the specific feature on or off. Engine shut off when opening door: This is a built-in safety feature to ensure the safety of your vehicle and surroundings.We would once again like to thank you for your detailed feedback. There’s no remote start button on the fobs so you have to purchase a subscription to use the app in order to utilize the remote start option. The app fails to load quite often, therefore not allowing you to start your vehicle on those cold Canadian days. What terrible a option to give the paying customer.

I have recently discovered that I would have to pay for the car starting option! This is absolutely ridiculous. That being said…. This will be my last Mazda, as well as my wife’s lat Mazda. This was a deal breaker for us. Especially because we’ve bought 4 cars from you in the past 6-7 years which would come out to over 100k. But you’ve decided that we weren’t important enough customers to at least let us have this option without having to pay for it going forward. We were looking into purchasing our 5th and 6th Mazda but this just prompted us to look elsewhere for our next vehicles. Thanks for nothing 👍
