Works but not perfect

Just got my new 2022 Mazda CX-5 sport design and I love the car. It’s a huge plus to have this app and it does work for the most part.

My only issue is that the app sends a lot of notifications to my phone. For instance, I start the car through the app and everything is successful. The car did start but when I open the car door I immediately get a notification saying auto start failed even though it was previously successful.

The app also divides its notifications into categories which can be a bit annoying when you’re trying to look for that one unread notification. It would be nice to have all notifications show up and maybe have an option to filter by type.

Other than that I find the app is nice to have for the vehicles.

Here are a few tips that maybe helpful.

Set notification preference: There is an option in the app to manage notifications. You need to select the top right corner ‘hamburger menu’ Settings  Push notifications and select the appropriate option (vehicle status alert, remote control etc.) to turn the notification for the specific feature on or off.
Engine shut off when opening door: This is a built-in safety feature to ensure the safety of your vehicle and surroundings.

Cx-5 GT

I really enjoy the Apps potential. But after using it for 7 months I’m left with the impression it is incomplete. It seems to require a lot of attention for somewhat limited information. I know Mazda can do better at least match Kia. Looking forward to intelligent updates before I subscribe for more than the free 2 year trial. Thank you for allowing me to share.

After having read many reviews, do you not think you have sufficient information to make improvements to the App. Live up to MAZDA!

Poor performance on CX-90

Not a useful service at all. I would never pay for this.
1) slow as heck
2) tire pressures showed once then never again
3) car starter takes a minute( this is just stupid) then when I open the door the car turn off! Double stupid.
4) can NOT remotely turn OFF car.
5) can’t adjust any environmental controls. I thought this was basic these days.
6) on top of all this, key fob can not start the car. Lol
7) it literally only seems to update once an hour. The have a swipe down to refresh feature that does NOTHING but frustrate.

Mazda must be joking with this. They really want us to pay for this after 2 years.

This could be the worst car app in the entire industry. I really hope they just haven’t gotten around to properly developing this for the CX-90. If this is it, then they need to fire and rehire in this department.

Like the CX90 though.
