Interesting, not much scares though.

Big fan of FMV games and interactive movies… This one falls more in the interactive movie cathegory. I only did one walkthrough so far, clocking in at about 30-40 min, with 1 out of 15 possible endings. Interactive movie where choices actually do matter and do changes the story, which is actually impressive… i read the synopsis about a translator translating a cursed book… well when i was presented with the choice to translate the book or do something else, i chose to do the other action and the story unfolded anyway in a very different way. Amazing!

The story i got on my first play was ok, wished it was more horror. Currently feels more like a light paranormal tv episode. The whole story gets a bit confusing because of the audio and subtitles. I am a native french speaker, perfectly bilingual in english…. Which helps a lot since the movie uses both english and french a lot…. But also at the same time (main character is a translator) so you have one person speaking in english and over it there is someone speaking in french at the same time… then add to this a 3rd language, and subtitles tries to follow 2 even 3 languages and translate everything… it gets confusing to try and follow everything that happens.

Actors and acting also gets confusing… why is the main actress panics so fast for no reasons? or the lady employer also seems confused about everthing for no reason… some actions of other characters makes no sens (why drive 1h to do a simple action instead of just doing it outside their homes? And even after the 1h drive to the main character’s place, they dont knock or stay for a bit, like a normal person? Just weird choices for characters that really feels out of place just for an excuse to progress a bit of story.

Still pretty decent interactive movie lots of nice choices and replayability. Will check out the other story branches
