Description

Write solutions, sketch diagrams, create graphs and record your mathematical thinking using the Notepad by mathies. Take a screenshot of your work to share with others or add to a portfolio.

Features:
•Select the background: grid, isometric dot, lined or blank
•Customize the background’s appearance by adjusting colours or the number of rows and columns, resizing and/or repositioning
•Type notes using the text tool
•Use the pencil tool for freestyle writing and drawings
•Include drawing objects: arrows, lines, number lines, rulers, hops, dots, rectangles, squares, ovals, circles, triangles, starbursts, grids and polygons
•Change colour, line thickness, fill colour and transparency
•Copy and rotate all annotation objects

Would love a save feature

Would be nice to save templates to come back to and re-use to save the trouble of starting from scratch every time. Thanks

Thanks for your feedback. The latest version of this app includes the ability to save your work and load it at a later date. See the settings button in the top right corner.

Improvements are great!

The save/open feature is great and students can easily share their work with others. Free and free from advertisements, I never have to worry about access for students from home nor do they get frustrated by advertisements. It is so flexible it can be used to represent virtually any mathematical thinking.

Favourite App for Representing Mathematical Thinking

Just love this app for showing my thinking in math.
I can use the number line features to order, compare and operate with whole number, integers, decimals and fractions. Being able to quickly make an array of any dimensions, I can model whole number multiplication and fraction +,-,/,x!
The copy feature makes graphing and labeling so easy!
I love being able to annotate my thinking with either a text box or by using the pencil tool.
How great is it that I can bring in an image to find the area of or maybe import a screenshot of the problem I'm solving!
Finally - being able to save my work, allows me to come back to it or even share it, and show the steps I used by clicking the undo button!
