Beware: Scummy business model
In order to do anything beyond simply reading data, you need to either use what they call "apps" which cost credits, or pay a subscription fee.
Every single time you use an "app", you must pay credits again.
"Apps" are presented with no indication whether or not they they will work. If an "app" doesn't work for your vehicle, it will still consume credits.
In my case, I tried changing the variable speed wipers on my vehicle, which was an option in OBDELEVEN. It didn't work, so I toggled the option off and back on again, which still had no effect. In the end, I spent 40 credits ($12 CAD) for nothing.
If you don't want to use "apps", or want to perform manual/long coding, you have to pay an annual fee of €24.99 for the Pro license ($34.44 CAD). This is in addition to the cost of the hardware.
The Pro license does not include use of the "apps", those will still cost credits per-use.
Personally, I regret buying an OBDELEVEN. Next time I'll go with an Enthusiast VCDS cable, which includes everything for a single fee.

Free credits removed, paid credits gone
If the apps were just one time purchases I might be fine to spend $20 to buy 100 credits so I can occasionally toggle an app on / off myself.
As it stands I’d have to pay like $80 for a subscription
In the past when I bought the device that was somewhat ok, you could watch an ad to get a credit.
If there was like a $100-$200 lifetime subscription that gave me 20 credits a month or something that would at least be reasonable. Or if everyone got 10 credits / month free or something…
As it stands though for an individual user who might want to toggle apps on / off somewhat often this device / app doesn’t make much sense.
