Hi all,

This version includes a fix for the bug that caused the notes in WAIT mode to go too further down and beyond the keyboard keys.

We also made some important performance optimizations for users with relatively old devices.

Great app but prefer the previous versions.

I’ve been using Online Pianist for over 6 years now (and on the computer version even before it became an app). It has always been my favourite piano app, but I prefer the older versions. All of the tools used to be available on the screen and top bar while playing. The new version has gotten rid of Loop, Hide Bars, Zoom, and intervals of 5 for speed. Songbook got rid of the “sort” option. Notes used to be denoted in sharps (G#) and now they are denoted in flats (Ab) which is confusing for me- I think there should be an option to choose the notation. In my opinion, the app has become a dumbed-down version of what it used to be. The store has improved its features and a lot more songs have been added, which is nice. I still prefer playing on my 1.91 version.

You actually can still repeat segments of the song on the current version.
When you pause the song, tap the 🔄 shadowed sign on the top left side of the screen.
Then, you can adjust the beginning and endpoint of the part you wish to repeat on the top main bar.
As for the hidden top bar, all the features are still available. With the new design, we made the song screen a bit more efficient space-wise.
You can still control the tempo by adjusting the metronome in intervals of 10s

We do plan to bring back the sorted songbook feature since we got some feedback on this matter.
In addition, we are now working on our musical accidentals and it will be improved in our future updates. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

To sum up, OnlinePianist is contently renewing and improving the app. Sometimes getting used to different versions could be inconvenient but we are certain you will love the new improvements 🙂
