Panqueer ,

Great WWII strat game

It's a great game so far, however, when playing with two players, one side that player one was supposed to control automatically has units and therefore an advantage. If playing with two players, you should both start with units or none at all. Thanks.

Excellent Game

This is one of the best strategy games I've found on the App Store. The variety of units, their numerous stats, the ability to upgrade units as you go, the ability to resupply and reinforce units instead of buying new ones, and the progression of Acquiring new units to buy throughout a campaign gives the game a good amount of depth. The campaigns are long enough and have a good variety of maps to not become boring. The historical realism also helps you get a sense of what actually happened in the scenario you're playing in. There are however, several small issues that can hinder the game. The first is in regards to a 'help' or 'how to play' menu option. The sheer amount of small detail in this game makes it very overwhelming to learn without something like this. It should definitely be added to the game. Second, is the leader mechanic for the German armies. In playing the American campaign, I noticed an icon appeared with the unit and stayed with it throughout the following missions when it earned a leader. This seems to be absent from the German campaigns. Even when a unit does earn a leader there is no indication next mission that the leader stayed with that unit. Thirdly, vision mechanics for the enemy. It gets rather annoying when an enemy plane comes out of nowhere and destroys a valuable unit in transit. Worse is when there are no enemy units within your units sight range to give the enemy vision of that position. It doesn't make sense. Similarly, I have noticed on many occasions that enemy units will fire on mine from way outside their range limit. Units with ranges of one will hit my units from three hexes away without moving first. In fact, even after the turn is done, the unit that fired will be in the exact same place which indicates that it is not just an in game model not moving or doing what it should but a mechanic in the game. All things considered however, this is a fantastic strategy game and the detail the creator has put into making it is wonderful for a phone game.
