Terrible support and hotspot connection doesn’t work.

I was passed along to more than 6 people to get my issue of failed hotspot resolved which I needed the most. Not only was it not resolved for over 30 days but was constantly passed around. Zero support zero accountability to give even 1 star is too much. When I asked for a credit because they couldn’t resolve their own issue they again “escalated” the issue and now after my plan of 30 days expired I still haven’t received a response on a credit I rightfully deserve. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want nothing but headaches and “failed hotspot” messages which were caused from their end. Also, I noticed their app doesn’t update the amount of data used for days instead of every 15 min like other companies and there is no stop limit within the app to prevent you from going over your data limit and them charging you $15 per GB. Technically you could be charged $300 for going over 20GB because their app failed to update or even notify you or even give you the option to stop when it reaches the limit. This is by design and wasn’t done by accident so I strongly advise you get in writing how often their app gets updated with your data usage and take screen shots with time stamps for evidence or use another device to record video of you checking your data usage such as an iPad or tablet or better yet screen record your iPhone accessing their site so you have no issues with them trying to brush you off when you exceed your limit. I would also use your built in data tracker on your iPhone when your plan begins and ends.

I live in Montréal Canada. You may know that Canada has some of the most expensive phone carrier plans in the world. I have been with practically every prepaid company in this country. Phone box is hands down the best bang for your buck when it comes to data plans. $30 for 75GB of data per month. For me that much data was unheard of until now. Before Phonebox the best carrier/data plan I could find was with Lucky Mobile (Bell Canada = $47 for 40GB). I have an iPhone 17 pro which only takes eSIM. I signed up with Phonebox selected my plan, paid with my debit and was running YouTube in under 10 minutes!
