Real pinball! FarSight Studios, makers of the best pinball games on iOS, PS3, Xbox 360, PSP, 3DS, and Wii, introduces the Pinball Arcade!
(This game requires 3D graphics acceleration. Older Macs and Macs without 3D graphics acceleration are not recommended.)

You can now play exact recreations of the all-time greatest pinball tables from Williams®, Bally®, Stern Pinball®, and Gottlieb® together in one game. Every flipper, bumper, sound effect, and display pixel has been painstakingly emulated in astonishing detail.

The four tables included in the app are Tales of the Arabian Nights™, Ripley's Believe It or Not®, and Theatre of Magic™, and Black Hole™.

Two add-on packs of two tables each are available through in-app purchases immediately; Funhouse™ / Circus Voltaire™ and Medieval Madness™ / The Machine: Bride of Pin•Bot™.

Regular updates will increase the number of tables available by adding classics like Monster Bash™, Twilight Zone®, Creature from the Black Lagoon®, Attack from Mars™, Black Knight™, Space Shuttle®, Pin•Bot™, Big Shot™, (and many others for years to come!) as in-app purchases along with online tournaments and additional modes to challenge yourself and compete against your friends.

Excellent but with one major flaw.

This game really is a must-buy. Such realistic recreations of real pinball machines had yet to be available for the mac, but this app has delivered just that! And deliver it does! The recreations are accurate in design, sound, feel, and art. The quality is applaudable.

However, all the compliments aside. There is one tremendous problem. The flipper lag has been corrected which is great but there is yet another physics related issue and that is of the "slow-motion" ball. It seems as though almost half of the time you are playing the ball is in slow motion. Randomly switching from normal speed to slow motion and vice versa all the time. This is a catastophic problem as without it these tables would be almost true to life in the physics department. It would be great to see this problem fixed in a new update.

FarSight Studios, I applaud you on this app and beg you to fix this one issue.

Restore previously purchased board

When asked if I want to restore previously purchased board I confirm my App store password but then nothing happens. Sometimes crashes.

The freeplay button doesn't seem to work either. I start a game and it says I can purchase the game with another one but no free play option.

Flipper lag ruins this

It's great to see officially licensed tables from all of the big names. Unfortunately, there is significant lag between the time when you push the flipper key and when the flipper actually moves on screen. This makes it virtually impossible to play a solid game of pinball and ruins the entire experience. I'm running this on the current generation i7 MacBook Pro, so it's not a hardware issue. What a shame...
