fantastic, but encyclopedia isn’t perfect
i really like the design of this app, and i like the home menu with the daily tasks etc. it took a while before i got used to the UI—initially, i didn’t know that you could swipe on the screens to access other features like turnip notes, fossils, etc. most problems i had with my first few weeks of using the app were already resolved by existing features, i just didn’t know they were there! with that, though, I can definitively say that this is the ultimate companion app for New Leaf. it has every feature you could possibly want, save for maybe a calculator for turnips (nobody should expect that, obviously).
i have encountered a couple issues with the encyclopedia, though. some of the labels are a bit off—often having to do with current catch, where critters are sometimes out of time/season or only available on the island. there may also be some issues with the accuracy of times, but as of now i’ve only noticed the char being written as 4am-9pm, where it’s actually available from 4pm-9am. nothing that can’t be fixed, but i think stuff like current catch can be hard to code, so i don’t mind dealing with it as long as the months/times are accurate! so far, i’ve only seen one exception to that, so all good.
overall, it’s a fantastic app!! super hopeful for future updates, but i’ll continue to use it either way :)
