Please Read - Using Card for 10 Months

Ive been using this card since October 2021. I got this card to help me build my credit. At the time I got the card, really were no indications that it had not been reporting to any credit bureau. I found this information out after signing up. I found that to be annoying, however, they did communicate that they were working with Equifax to rectify the matter and would report payments retroactivity. I can say they held up on this promise as I see they’ve reported all my payments since October 2021 on Borrowell. I don’t have any issues with them reporting missed payments. I make multiple payments to my card a month.

I think waited about 2-3 weeks to get my card, which was slightly longer than I’ve had to wait for other cards, however, I did get this card during the pandemic.

My reason for giving this company a 3 star rating at this time is: the app is just terrible to work with. I don’t find it to be very user friendly or visually appealing. It will randomly close and sometimes buttons won’t work. I hope they spend more time working on the app.

We Should Start A Class Action Lawsuit

I tried to verify with Equifax, and every question on the verification had information regarding someone else, but when speaking to Equifax over the phone, all of my information they had was correct and my accounts were as they should be. I believe I have now been scammed by their company, because when I went to go verify my identity with Plastk, it wouldn’t verify either. Which is totally fine, because I don’t want to verify and set up my account with their company anymore, anyways.

I was researching what documents I needed to upload and there was no information anywhere in their website, google etc. But I did come across the BBB and read almost 150 complaints stating the same thing, pretty much.

I’ll advise, that I am in the legal field. It’s very easy for me to access information regarding my rights. So, it is my right to NOT completely set up an account if I do choose not to. That being said, if I request the money to be returned, the refund must take place immediately and funds in my bank account within 7-10 business days.
According to almost every complaint, their company has either told consumers 30, 60 or 90 days for a refund. Sometimes they never return the money at all.

I have made a dispute with my bank already at Although I am doubtful I will get the $1000 returned.

It is also my right to seek other ways to dispute the loss of funds, which may include making a police report regarding this incident. I have made a police report and they are opening an investigation on this situation and their company.

I have lost my funds, and I believe Plastk has made me a victim of identity theft, so, that’s on my police report as well. They accessed my bank and took $712 on top of what I sent them. I did not authorize this.

All in all, their company makes me feel uncomfortable doing business with them and it is my right to not fully set up my account and have my money returned in 7-10 business days.

If all else fails, I do have access to one of the best lawyers in my city, as I’m a student under them, and will take legal action if needed.

I made a report with the BBB about my experience. If I get a response from Plastkstating anything less than refund immediately or seeing it in my account within 7-10 business days, I will be rejecting every response.

I thought I was doing something good for my credit, but I do not get a good feeling and it was my mistake to not seek out reviews at first, but it is my right to not do business with your company to eliminate the stress of what I feel your business will cause me.

They advised me that in order to close my account I need to verify myself and they will close the account IN 60 days (a cooling period).

I responded with: If they process the closure in 60 days this means their company will charge me fees that I didn’t incur, because my account isn’t even “open”, as I didn’t complete the verification process. I have done my research and as a company that provides a credit option such as a secured credit card, you do not have the right to “stick” consumers with fees they didn’t incur on accounts that aren’t active.

Anyone want to hang together for a class action for our money back?

Don’t do it

It is entrapment and if you make a mistake by creating this account, they refuse to let you out. I tried to cancel half an hour after mistakingly creating this account and they have been rejecting my wish to cancel. Then when they finally “obliged” (as they said), they refuse to give your funds back within a timely manner (60 days!!). Beware.
