Description
PocketTorah is designed to help you learn the weekly Torah and Haftarah portion anywhere, at any time for free.
This project was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Jewish New Media Innovation Fund
The app includes:
- The entire text of the Torah and Haftarah in Hebrew and translation.
- On Demand Audio: With a simple click or touch of any verse number the corresponding Hebrew with proper trope is chanted, while the corresponding text is highlighted.
- Tikkun View – With a touch you can choose whether you want to see the Hebrew as vowelized text or as it appears in the Torah with crowns and without vowels.

Fixes a bug that caused blank screen on load for most users along with a smattering of other minor bug fixes.

Excellent but problem
On a potential app like this I have to review. The basic Torah and how it's layed out is ok, but not the Torah side. Torah side should not be sorted by pasuk. The whole point is that you remember it. And I could not finish the Aliyah on the Torah side because it would just go back to the other side. How are you supposed to do it? Please fix, before I find a better Chumash app to do my laining
Fix the Pause button
A potentially useful app ruined by poor execution. If I’m reviewing a pasuk for learning, then I need the app to stop playing when I hit Pause. Is that so difficult to understand? But this thing just runs on and on as I flail away at the tiny box on the corner of my phone.
Blank screen
App used to work ok but now opens to a blank white screen so useless.
