Beautiful illustrations and narration
I love this application. The paper copy of this book is a staple in our house. This app does a wonderful job of rendering the illustrations in electronic form; they are bright and crisp. The navigation was easy for my three-year old to do. There aren't lots of fiddly games built in, but on each page the child can press the illustrations and see them move slightly with accompanying sound effects; for example Peter's bunny siblings giggle quietly on one page, or the cat meows. It was just enough to take advantage of the iPad format without detracting from the story. The narrator's voice (which can be turned on or off) and intonation was perfect - she sounds a lot like Carey Mulligan. I've downloaded several ebooks for my son, but so far this one is my favourite.
Just paid for this book and no volume. The kids will be so disappointed ! Hope I don’t get a bill for this. My iPad is brand new so that is not an issue
If only Miss Potter were alive today, she would be overjoyed with what has been done to extend her basic ideas into an interactive media experience. Beautifully executed app, excellent narration, and nicely thought out to motivate children to learn to read the story. My daughter will love this. I look forward to further productions from this developer.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
