Description
In order to use the Porsche dashcam with your smartphone, you require the free "Porsche Dashcam" app.
The detailed operating instructions with explanations of all functions can be found in the smartphone app under the "Manual" section.
Events:
Display events recorded during parking since the last time the ignition was switched off.
Live image:
Display the live image from the front and rear cameras.
Note: The rear camera is only available in conjunction with a standard dashcam preparation.
Video playback:
– Display saved videos on the Porsche dashcam and the phone.
– Play back (limited resolution), download (full resolution) and delete videos.

This is an absolute waste of time and money.
Neither Pfaff Porsche or I can get it to work.
What a piece of crap !!!!!
Piece of crap
Porsche should be ashamed. This app is the biggest piece of crap I’ve ever seen. I cannot believe that a company that makes such great cars would turn out something so awful. I own 2 software companies and we make apps and this POS would never make it out the door at my place. It is impossible to connect to the camera unless the phone is in airplane mode which is a huge joke. I can’t even upgrade the firmware on the camera because the phone has to be in airplane mode to connect. It’s laughable. Moreover, after spending hours at the dealership trying to figure this out we found the airplane mode solution by searching the Internet. The QA team on this app should be fired. Had I known how bad this is I never would have bought the system and if it wasn’t already installed in my car I’d demand my money back.
they are not even worth 1 star but I can’t put zero. In fact even zero would be generous. Shame on Porsche!!!
This app is fragile!
This app is amount the worst written. The connection process is plagued with drama it took me three hours to figure it out thanks to one of the other reviews here. Basically start I. Airplane mode and have no connections to anything else when you start and it helps. In general the app once you can connect is okay but the developer should be ashamed of what they built.
