QUAKES TODAY gives you a quick, easy to read summary of the last 24 hours of earthquake activity around the globe.

You can filter and sort quakes by place, magnitude, event time, location and distance from you. Tap on any quake in the list for details and an interactive map. Visualize earthquake swarms in real time with new cluster mode, and jump from one event to another quickly and easily.

The new TIMELINE feature displays a snapshot of earthquakes at a glance. Tap on a peg to scroll down the list to the corresponding event.

QUAKES TODAY is the perfect app for those living in quake country, as well as anyone interested in seismology. Was there a quake today? Pull up QUAKES TODAY and have a look. Data is refreshed every five minutes, keeping you up to date around the clock.

QUAKES TODAY PRO in-app purchase gives unlimited use of features:
+ TIME MACHINE displays a time-based animation of all earthquake activity on the map. Adjustable playback speed and rate.
+ TELEPORTER allows you to customize your location to any point on the globe. You can save your favorite teleport locations to check in on activity near your family and friends.

Lots of Potential

Geared towards the American market as there is no way to set distance in km.

You CAN set distance to use km by going to the iPhone settings app and scrolling down to Quakes Today. The selection will show up there.

You are the second person with this same comment, so clearly this is something I should do better. So with the next release (v.0.4.2) when the app is first run it will default to the appropriate value for the user's region. Hopefully this will reduce the need to find the setting in the first place.
