Radio Spirits presents its nationally-syndicated program When Radio Was which features a selection of Old Time Radio (OTR) shows and is hosted by Greg Bell.

Access an archive of recent shows.

Featuring great series such as Sam Spade, Jack Benny, Johnny Dollar, Fibber McGee and Molly, The Green Hornet, Life of Riley, and many others. An optional subscription service allows you to stream and download even more programs on-demand from our vast library of thousands of classic radio programs.

iOS background play allows you to listen while you do other things on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Fully integrated with iPod/audio controls.

AirPlay will allow you to stream the shows to your Apple TV or bluetooth speaker.

• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal

Awesome app !

I just love to listen to it ! Good selection of shows ! And it takes me back to a time I only heard my grand father talk about ! Thanks and keep up the great work !

Very cool

Love the old radio programs, but the app is poor. Can’t save favourites, won’t scroll ahead to next episode unless you’re playing the whole show file, and it starts at the first episode, not where you left it. Not friendly for use in vehicle with CarPlay, won’t interact with interface. Can only change episodes of a show on the phone. It’s a difficult format, not user friendly at all.
