The RBC® eGift app* lets you receive gifts electronically from friends and family – in the form of money, via secure INTERAC e-transfer‡ or in the form of an RBC eGift Visa Prepaid Card. You can send thank you notes for the gifts you receive and for extra fun, your friends and loved ones may attach games to what they send you, which you might need to play and unlock in order to claim your gifts. In addition, these games may require that you visit specific merchants in person in order to unlock the gift.
RBC eGift also lets you view your gifts’ status (e.g. what you claimed, where and when). If you are an RBC eGift Card cardholder, RBC eGift lets you view your transaction history, card balance and card details. To access your gift history and more register for RBC eGift.

Ratings and Reviews
I dunno on the fence
It’s easy once set up... but how do you get rid of old $0.00 cards? Also is there a way to view all transactions? App support was frustrating 2hrs later I’ve resorting to writing a review and so doesn’t look like a great one. Having to flip through cards taking screenshots of transactions and having to the math 😳😬 is exhausting.
I would have to always go out and physically buy a prepaid Visa card 25$ and it would almost come to 30$ after taxes. I have seen the option of “send e-gift” a few times while I was using online banking. I was curious so one day I clicked to see what it was about. It is basically a prepaid Visa card that you can buy and send through the funds in your account. (Chequing account) in my case. (I was able to send one to myself, to the same email that I use for online banking) and I downloaded the E-gift app and accepted the gift. I don’t have to go anywhere to buy a prepaid visa anymore & there are no taxes. This app is very easy to use and I would recommend to anyone.
How do I send a gift?
I log into the app and there is no where to send an e-gift!
