Regex replacement doesn’t use capture groups. No HELP/support!!!

Why is there no documentation for this app??? Very disappointing!

I bought this seeing that I’d be able to use Regular Expressions (Regex) to rename my files in bulk but, unbelievably, when using such a basic thing as a capture group - for example `some-title_(capturesomething)_000.jpg` I can’t use the capture group’s result, “capturesomething” in the replacement value… this pretty much defeats the purpose!

Please provide documentation and/or explain how to use capture groups in regex replacement values OR implement it.

Total waste of money in this regard.

I DO NOT recommend this for advanced users who know what they’re doing. It’s only good for basic stuff - which means it’s too expensive for it’s current functionality.

Want a refund.

EDIT (another 15 minutes later)…:
I found that the Regex option, “Reorder with Regular Expressions” offers the ability to reference up to 10 capture groups. It servers the purpose but is still REALLY clunky and unwieldly. I’d much prefer being able to use text tokens like, “$1” or “\1” to do the same. So much point and click to acheive something relatively simple and for which I bet there are many code libraries already.

I defintely stick by the fact that this app needs a manual and help guide.

I’ll be looking for some other app that is easier to use and more intuitive. Considering that there are several FREE Regex integrated file Renamer apps for Windows and a tonne for Ubuntu, I wish this one would receive more attention by the developer.
