* These games are not currently available on the smaller legacy SE devices. The limited screen real estate makes it difficult to display the large number of cards that are required to play the game.

These games were designed & developed by an ardent casino player who plays 3-4 times every week. No worries if you do not know how to play. Each game includes detailed instructions and rules as well as descriptions of the possible poker hands and the related payouts. Already a player? You're going to love being able to "sit at the table" and practice your technique.

Each game includes its own separate set of achievements for you to tackle as you are building up your bankroll and you will periodically be rewarded with bonus chips throughout the day.

You are sure to have hours of fun improving your understanding of the games!

To top it off, the developer personally reviews ALL feedback and acts upon it. If you have suggestions, submit them! Many of the current games were introduced in response to Player feedback.

Note: some games may not be available on devices with smaller screens because you would need a microscope to view your cards!

What’s New

Version 62.1.0

This release is about “bug fixes” and “tweaks”

First, the “tweaks”:

It turns out that all of the Blackjack games have been handling Split cards incorrectly since those games were first released. I want to thank Fernando, a casino floor supervisor, for reaching out via email to bring that to my attention. Now, all Blackjack games will handle splits by first separating the two original cards and then playing each hand individually in turn. This means that you will no longer receive a new, second card on each hand before play resumes after a split.

When considering this minor nuance, it makes sense to me. I assume it is in the House's favor that the Player not burn two sequential cards from the shoe because they would prefer those two cards be played on the first split card. Who knew? I'm a Mississippi Stud guy. Because I like to split 10s, the folks at the Blackjack table generally want to beat me up.

Bug Fixes:

Spanish 21: the recent change to Spanish 21 to support the ability to Double Down up to 3x created a bug that could lock up the game. Many thanks to Donald for reaching out via "Send Feedback" to alert me to the situation. While I didn't reproduce the problem despite a screenshot from Donald, I did find some code that needed to be adjusted.

Craps: It figures the last release to smooth things out for the Odds wagers would break something. The challenge I was chasing was providing the Player the ability to place valid Odds wagers in $1 increments while ensuring the minimum odds amounts were being placed and ensuring whatever amount was wagered was compatible with the odds that would be paid. Both Mobark (all the way up in Canada) and Donald reached out immediately to alert me to the fact that the code I introduced was improperly rounding the base wagers for Place Bets. Basically, 6s and 8s were a real problem. That issue has been addressed in this release. Thanks for your help folks. I truly appreciate you!

More changes coming soon! I really need to spend some time making the Blackjack and Spanish 21 changes on "that other platform" so those Players aren't neglected. Then, I'll be right back enhancing and extending RBG!

Please keep telling folks about the app and thank you for your support!

~Danny

Fix the rng on black jack

I’ve found that black jack is a very fixed and predictable game. Anytime you try to hit a 17 it’s always a bust, ALWAYS! whenever you stand on it, the AI always pulls something one or two higher than your hand. The amounts of 19, 20 and 21’s the dealer AI gets is insane. Way above the amount it should. It’s so bad to the point that I just lost a whole 1k playing against it in ten minutes. Like, there’s no actual chance here, you’re always made to be set up to lose and it’s dumb. Other than that, I like this app. The selection of exotic games, a constant stream of chips and all that. It’s cool. Just make black jack an actual game of chance rather than lose lose and hope the AI has mercy on you

Thanks for posting the review, Nicky! I do appreciate that you took the time. I don't want to come across as a smart aleck, but there is not any Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Riverboat Gambler. The game engine simply takes the number of cards in all of the decks for a game and randomly shuffles them. Then, it deals the cards one at a time like a casino shoe would. Those cards are in the same sequence as the randomized array that was "shuffled". There is no relationship between how much you wager, whether you hit, stand, fold, or play a hand. The rank of the hands are not determined until the hand/round ends. Period. It's really that simple and I just don't know how to convince folks of that. I'm glad you like the games and I'm sorry that Blackjack is disappointing you, but I won't be surprised if you hit a "hot streak" and start to think that either a) you were mistaken, or b) the "AI" was changed. 😎🙃 It's happened with others in the past. RBG was originally intended as a training exercise for me to learn how to write a mobile app and so I could play a realistic version of MS Stud on my iPhone. That it now contains 50+ games on two platforms boggles my mind and is purely a result of Player feedback, suggestions, and requests. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to mobile development, but I can promise you that one of the things that I don't care to learn is how to develop an AI that will cheat people. That seems silly to me and would basically ruin the intent of the app. I personally love this app, play it everyday, and I love interacting with the Player community. Please keep your feedback coming and let me know if you have any suggestions or requests. I am simple to reach using "Send Feedback" from the game menu. Many of the games have "test harnesses" that I can use to test a game to make sure it doesn't break. Those games, like MS Stud, simply use the harness to blindly complete the remaining wagers so that the round can end and the hands can be read; the complex code is in reading and comparing the hands. For those games, I am happy to run simulations and send the results out. Unfortunately, I don't have any test harnesses for Blackjack because that would require some amount of AI to make a Player-style decision on standing or folding. I will add, though, that "hitting 17" doesn't sound like something that would work very often given that, in an 8-deck shoe, there are only 128 cards out of 416 (30.7%) that won't bust the hand. 🙃~Danny

Surprised!

It would seem the creator is as passionate about gambling games as I am, with regular updates, interaction with players I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and all the hard-to -find games! Brilliant!!!

Developer Response ,

Hey "Nobody"! I can't lie: I'm addicted to the casino! 🤣 There's just something about the lights, the silicon, and those "free" $50 drinks that I can't stay away from. Thanks for posting and for the 5 Stars. Maybe we'll bump into each other one day in "Live Play" and we can hang out! Please tell your friends about RBG! ~Danny
