Description

Road to Legend is a companion app for the Descent: Journeys in the Dark 2nd edition board game. When you play with Road to Legend, the app assumes the role of the overlord player, controlling monsters and inviting you to explore the dungeon in entirely new and unexpected ways.

At its heart, Road to Legend introduces a fully-formed, cooperative way to play Descent, freeing you and your friends to all play as heroes and defeat the darkness in Terrinoth. With a series of fully-formed quests and the ability to incorporate your entire collection of physical Descent expansions, Road to Legend provides a thrilling new variant on the classic Descent experience!

Great Service to Loyal Customers

Generates more use out of your content, especially if you have multiple lieutenant packs. Not so good for people with conversion kits. Needs larger font for phone.

Unfinished & Buggy

This SHOULD be great but:
1. "Music" is just bats chirping and nothing more. Lame.
2. App keeps telling you to put out monsters despite knowing how many players there are and resultant group limits.
3. As with Mansions of Madness, the on screen text and player icons, which could easily be remedied, do not match the player count and characters selected.
4. Can't play saved games on different devices.
5. Worst of all: If you back out of the app for any reason? You have to wait for the entire app to reload and then, if you didn't happen to back out when the app saved, you have to click thru a number of steps and prompts you've already seen unforgivable

Terrible app to an amazing game

The tutorial sucks. I figured I'd give the app a whirl for my first time of playing the game. I had already read the campaign books, and expected a similarly awesome storyline. Instead, I was playing a smash fest, where I was unable to do any actions that I wanted to do for the first two rooms. It ignored monster group limits, and was overall unenjoyable. I will not be using the app any longer. From now on, I'll just wait to play with my family and not bother with the single player aspect of the app.
