Gotta love all the reviews from people that don’t have the Bluecurve modem and the children effected by their wifi being cut off. That being said I use this as a tool to be notified when new devices connect to my wifi. I also use it to police the children that break the rules of the house. It does not invade any privacy. What I feel it lacks is the ability to see the traffic count (upload/download) per device in the household. It only offers a percentage. Also more detailed usage chart by time would be nice. All in all this app delivers on the blue curve ability to regulate wifi usage by device in an easy to use interface. Four stars as I find Shaw is good at putting out new products and promising more features but they never seem to deliver on that promise. I was an early adopter to the Shaw Gateway and never saw any real feature adds to that.

This will ruin relationships

This app will ruin the relationship with your child. It violates privacy. It’s your child’s privacy and business as to what they are doing on their phone and how long they are on it. Maybe younger kids yes but older kids need to learn the consequences of staying up late. If they get up in time for something, even if they are up until 3 am, it does not affect the parents whatsoever. The child has to deal with being tired all day. This app pushes your child away from you, and your relationship will not improve at all. This app is very controlling and shouldn’t exist. If you want a horrible relationship with your child, this is the app. I don’t suggest this app at all unless you’re a Karen, and nobody likes Karen’s. 👎

A lot of the things, I used to be able to do with my router for 20 years, are not possible anymore. Like port forwarding, or setting up a DMZ. Theoretically it is possible, but no pratifcally. You cann not select your deives by IP anymore and it does not list all the devices. Why spend time on doing something this dumb? Never heard of the saying dont fix it if it aint' broken. Well these guys did one step worse, break something that was not broken
