Great GPX viewer with editing capability
Router is a great GPX viewer at a fantastic (free) price. I love how I can drag across the timeline on the bottom to see where I was at a particular time. Great support, too. I contacted the dev to ask how I could edit a few points, which I sometimes need to do if I go into a building and the track jumps way off to the side. He replied within a few hours, explaining that if I click a value (like latitude, longitude or elevation) in the table in the pane on the right, I can edit the number. This is much better than opening the GPX file in a text editor, as I can see the changes to the track when I edit it in Router.
It does exactly what's advertised on the tin, and it does it very well.
But the most important thing to me is that the dev - a one-man crew - actually takes the time to respond to emails and make very fast feature updates! That's something that matters nowadays I find.
Give it a try, it will deliver!
Excellent Track Viewer with Editing
I was looking for a GPX viewer with basic editing to complete my GPS workflow and was tired of the Garmin software. Router fits the bill for me. It doesn't try to do everything nor does it upload your data to the 'cloud'.
I use a Garmin GPS watch to record all my riding and I use Guru Maps on my iPhone for off-line trail navigation. Now I use Router to view my recorded tracks with satellite map and split them into segments that I want on the phone.
I've seen some bugs but the developer has been very responsive. It's an active project with signs of continuous improvement. It's now integral to my GPS workflow.
