Design futuristic factories from the ground up in this free to play adventure. Place devices like synthesizers, chemical mixers, and ice guns in your sandship factory. The more devices you have, the greater your automated productivity. Connect those devices with conveyor belts to craft a wide variety of materials, from copper wires and combustion engines to ancient technology utilizing the mythic power of the overwell. Upgrade your sandship and add bigger factories to get the space you’ll need to produce more complex items. Trade the incredible stuff you make to earn credits, XP and get old crates filled with scientific research from the distant past. This ancient knowledge gives your sandship new abilities, becoming stronger, smarter, and more powerful than she’s been in a long, long time.

Your engineering mentor is Harvey, a tenacious one-eyed cyborg who needs your help to reconnect with his past. Harvey will show you the ropes of sandship engineering as you build and maintain more complex factories on a desert journey. Are you ready to voyage through a mysterious alien desert with many obstacles in your path? The planet is inhabited by an unusual assortment of robots and aliens. Some are friendly and astounded by your sandship. Others are hostile and want to see your sandship destroyed, but you’re not sure why. Complete quests to meet new characters, uncover ancient civilizations, hear campfire stories and learn how this once industrious world crumbled in the distant past.

There’s so much to discover on-board a sandship. Solve factory floor puzzles, then create your own to share with other players. Get creative in the sandbox to try out new setups without using any resources. Build an enigmatic underwell to mine precious resources, but be prepared to defend against hordes of extraterrestrial enemies to collect them. UPDATE 2: With the latest update, they’ve tweaked the thing that bothered me the most about the last update and therefore I’ve added a star to my review. So resources still have their individual caps, but the cost to upgrade is now cheaper which makes it much more bearable. It’s still a grind to get currency, but that’s to be expected from a free game I guess. I’m still encountering a few bugs, but none of them game-breaking. As always, I’m looking forward to future updates.

UPDATE 1: the game seems a lot more stable with the latest update. I’m not a fan of the new resource caps. You now have to use credits to increase the caps per resource, and credits are difficult to come by. It’s especially annoying because you have to save up a significant amount of credits for research, but research also requires resources, so you have to spend those credits you were saving to increase the resource caps. It would be nice if there was another way besides contracts to earn credits to offset this (quests don’t count because they don’t give you much). I feel like the developers did this to convince you to buy more contract vans, which as far as I can tell, can only be purchased using real money. I’d much rather pay a one time fee to buy the game rather than having this frustrating paywall. Therefore my review will remain at 3 stars for now.

TL;DR game still needs some work, and I’m looking forward to future updates.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I’m loving the Factorio vibe of this game. It’s definitely very unique for the mobile games market, and it’s quite fun. I love the fact that there’s no ads! There’s still quite a few bugs for the developers to polish out though. A lot of random crashing, and sometimes crates take a while to open for some reason. I’m looking forward to future updates and bug fixes and will update my review accordingly.

How is it for free when its that amazing, like you guys are really quality devs

Another online game that should be offline

Hey, the rest of the world doesn’t have blazing fast or consistent internet and we’d appreciate just ONE offline game that isn’t “chop the banana” or “put the ball in the ring” or even something that doesn’t break entirely when internet hiccups. Unplayable. Can’t open crates and I’ve got a full production of wire that just *poofs* out of existence. Come on, people.

Last edit before uninstall: I deleted all my machines and stuff but I’m still producing everything. How broken is this trash? Holy.

Sandship requires internet in order to ensure that you never lose your data. Furthermore, it will be additional layer of security once we add multiplayer features to the game as well! That being said, your point is definitely valid, and we are already considering adding a way to play in sandbox mode for offline times, so you can freely prototype cool factory ideas while on your commute!
