Garbage

A complete waste of time and money, it doesnt work. What is it's function? you cannot save anything to it.

The app you downloaded is a Safari extension that can be used to send documents and files directly from your browser to Dropbox without any download.
It does not require the Dropbox app, but if you would also need the Dropbox app, you can download it from here: https://www.dropbox.com/downloading

To save a document that you see in your Safari browser to Dropbox, just right click the document link and select the "Save to Dropbox" option or, if you have a document opened in your browser (like a PDF document), just click the extension button in Safari (near the address bar).

So this extension integrates Dropbox with Safari, this is the job. If you need something else, I guess you can use the Dropbox app that you can download from the above link.
