The easiest and quickest way to create “Secret Santa” gift exchanges, now with Wish Lists!
Create your exchange with just a few simple steps:
• Create an event, set cost of the gift, and add an optional custom message.
• Pick contacts from your address book, or enter their name and contact details.
• Optionally decide who must or must not buy for other guests.
• Secret Santa then magically assigns gift givers.
• Add a Wish List so your guests can let their gift giver know what they'd like (requires IAP)
• Notify guests by email or SMS, or export as a PDF (SMS / PDF require IAP)
Features of "Secret Santa - gift exchange":
• You do not need to sign in or create an account. Contact details are ONLY used for sending out messages, and you or your guests will NEVER be contacted with marketing spam.
• Only the organiser of the event needs to install the app. All other guests are notified by email or SMS.
• It's not just for Christmas… it works for birthdays and other events too (why not try a Thanksgiving or Hanukkah exchange?)
• Having a kids party? You can use children's names with their parents' email address, or print their exchange invite.
• Send your message in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French or German
• Copy last year's exchange and add rules to prevent the same people being picked.

Be upfront
This app works. We gave it 4 stars because of two issues. Firstly, I set the gift price parameters and had second thoughts but wasn’t able to go back to that page to edit the price range. Secondly, this is, practically speaking, not a free app. The free version is only good for 6 guests. Nobody needs an app for so few. If you are like us and intend to share with more, the developers should just say upfront that the app costs $5.50 or whatever because the features are worth it. It’s not worth the angry backlash from surprised consumers.

So much for “free” trial
The app says you can create one free event. But what’s the point of creating one free event if you can’t complete the event by sending the results by email or text for that event? So basically you waste your time to try a free event and either pay over $5 for the “free” event or go back to drawing out paper names.

I'm sorry you're not happy with the app, but I just want to clarify… for a single event with up to 6 people, notifiying guests by email, the app is completely free. It sounds like you were had problems getting email to work. If so, please contact me at littlehelper@secretsantas.gifts and I'll do my best to resolve your problem.
If you want to have more than 6 people in your event, create multiple events, send by SMS, or print the invites, then there is the option to unlock the app. Of course, as you say, there's also the free option to draw names out of a hat. Cheers, Ash
Hidden costs
This was advertised as a free easy app to use. I input 14 people’s information, and then when I got to the review/send step, I was informed that to send by any channel other than mail, it would cost me $5.50. There was also no ability to attach mailing addresses to people’s information in order to mail presents.
