One of the very best apps for stress and anxiety
I’m a huge fan of Mary Maddux’s approach to guided meditations. The purpose is to help settle down your nervous system and build up your capacity for being non-reactive awareness of your experience (thoughts, emotions and body sensations).
This app is complimentary with the psychotherapeutic approaches of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) pioneered by Dr Steven Hayes. I have recommended this app and many other meditations by Mary to a lot of people.
This isn't guided at all. I was looking for something more than just relaxing music. A lady talking in the background wasn't really guiding me. Waste of $2.79
