I highly recommend this app and the filter for iPhone 13 Pro Max
Used the app for the solar eclipse on 08 April 2024. Got great photos before, during and after Totality! A little practice beforehand goes a long way. Sometimes keeping the sun off centre produces a better photo. So glad I found this app and bought the Sun filter and glasses for this once in my lifetime experience!
Used to take awesome photos of the 2024 eclipse!
I was having trouble taking photos with just my iPhone camera as the sun was too bright and the eclipse was not showing up in regular pictures…
until I found this app!
It was simple to download, relatively easy to use, and took pretty decent photos for me!
The only thing that could be considered “bad” was that when the sun was in a partial (but close to a total) eclipsed state with 99% of the sun being covered, even with the app, I was unable to get a photo of that almost-total eclipse :(. Don’t let that dissuade you from getting this however- I probably did not take enough time to fiddle with the app’s settings so it’s on me!
Anyway, great app! I’ll be sure to re-download it in 20 years when the next eclipse happen haha!
