Soulver is a beautiful notepad calculator app that you will love. It has a new kind of interface that is far more useful than a traditional calculator. It lets you use words alongside numbers, so that they make sense and do calculations over multiple lines. Use Soulver for quick calculations, number problems involving variables, unit conversions, and for thinking through problems that involve math.

Like a notepad + spreadsheet. Annotate your calculations, reference a line by tapping it. Been my go to for years, just updated for the 9th year, renewing my 5 star review.

I’m a huge Excel junkie and this app is great for doing some quick math, I prefer it to Excel when I’m on my smart phone. It’s also great for tracking stats or data when your on the move because you can create the sheets you need, save them, then update them as you go.

Notes on Dropbox support:
– Unfortunately we've had to remove integrated Dropbox support in this release as it has been causing random crashes since they moved to v2 of their API.
– You can still open/edit your Dropbox files by holding down on the "+" button and choosing "Open file...".
– We recommend using iCloud syncing as a replacement.

- "Clear All" has been returned under the delete button.
- The "Device" tab is now hidden if all saved files are either in Dropbox or iCloud.
- Tapping on the file button while editing a draft now shows the name view immediately.
- Restore deleted files by tapping on the trash icon (rather than the file icon).

Files:
- Soulver can now access files in both iCloud & Dropbox (previously you would have to choose a provider), and move files between storage providers.
- Hold down on the new file button (+) to duplicate your current file, or import from other file providers, like Box.
- Drafts are now stored in iCloud or Dropbox. Choose your preference in the settings.
- Move all files between iCloud or Dropbox, using the migration feature the settings.
- Deleted files are stored in a trash and can be recovered.
Undo:
- Access undo via a new button in the toolbar. Shake-to-undo has been disabled.
Currencies:
- Redesigned currencies settings to be easier to use.
- Use the base currency of your present country automatically.
- Switched to CoinDesk for Bitcoin rates.
Keyboard:
- Variables defined in the keyboard can now include % signs.
- Last used keyboard mode (ABC or 123) will be remembered across launches.
- The clear all button has been removed from the delete key popup.
Other:
- Brighter syntax colours.
- Fixed percentage operators in Chinese.
- Soulver now requires iOS 9 or later.
