Works, but works slow

Needs a higher refresh rate than 3 frames per second. Other than that, utility works great.

SS RD ,

Uninstalled

Wave shape isn’t accurate enough to be very useful. Gets stuck displaying that beating sounds are present when they’re not..

soon to be ex-telus ,

Zero success

I gave this a good try but had zero success. I had the same outputs (graphics) with or without an input signal. I fact when I grounded the external input to the mic, it still shows a similar output to that obtained with or without a signal.

I obviously gave this app a bad rap first time around. When gave up trying to use it as an oscilloscope and simply used it to view constant audible tones generated on my phone and picked up by my iPad’s internal microphones the waveforms displayed, the frequency detected and the spectrum graphics were bang on. I did confirm that it doesn’t work well when the tone is applied to the mic input jack, the graphics and the numerical frequency become almost random. The app would be very useful as a simple oscilloscope for audio range signals if it was able to operate properly from external mic. Inputs.
