STAR WALK PLUS removes ads from the app and gives you access to the calendar with astronomical events, deep space objects, meteor showers, dwarf planets, asteroids, comets, and satellites. It offers a one-week free trial followed by an auto-renewing subscription.
Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Subscription may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Bought this app many many years ago and now can’t use it since the banner to a free 1 week trial or purchase of the plus version. Never really used it that much in the first place and will not be using it again

Insanely aggressive ad frequency

Downloaded the app to watch the eclipse tonight. Cannot zoom in at all without getting an ad. Just got 4 ads in a row (literally within 2 minutes) so here I am writing an angry review. Shame you’d work so hard on an app and gum up the user experience that muchEdit: I’m more than content with having ads in the free experience, but it almost feels like the ad behaviour is a bug. They pop up every time I pinch to zoom in on the sky. Once the ad is finished, the scene goes into a ‘locked’ mode where the scene does not move according to the iPhone accelerometer. I then have to shake my phone to get back to the live view, and do not have my zoom. This feels like the advertisements are impeding the functionality. If zooming in on live preview is a paid function, that should be clearly stated.

Unfortunately, we can not remove ads it is a source of revenue that helps support and improve Star Walk. But you are welcome to try Star Walk Plus, that will remove ads and unlocks access to the extended content.

Used to love this app. Now they want you to pay a monthly fee on top of hat I had paid for the app to get the features in the app. Not a good move.

I’ve had this app for over 10 years. Used to be great. Now it’s nothing but ads. Doesn’t even calibrate properly. I’m looking west and it says I’m looking east. Used to be the best app out there, now it isn’t worth even a trial.

If you have Star Walk for 10 years, it means that you purchased it 10 year ago and if you are logged in to the same Apple account that you used to purchase the app, no ads will appear. Please check the account settings.
No shiny new buttons this time — we focused on what’s under the hood. We updated the app’s internals, added support for iOS 26, and fixed a few old bugs that were quietly waiting for their moment.
