Created in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department Citizens’ Crime Watch, the Stolen Plates App is designed to search a distributed list of stolen and special attention license plates. Funding provided by the Vancouver Police Foundation.

note: The list of license plates is not publicly accessible and must be obtained through an authorized law-enforcement coordinator (refer to manual for the file format).

Landscape mode needed

The app is wonderful for checking plates in our community but we really need a landscape mode to use with external keyboards and Bluetooth keyboard cases!

Just a game

I thought it was a serious app, but it has only made up licence plates, as far as I see

Hi Legionnaire101. The licence plates supplied in the app are for testing purposes only. To fully utilize it as a search tool you will have to coordinate with your local agency to get a list of the active stolen plates in your area. See the manual for data format (question mark icon)

A perfect App, one suggestion might be to also set it to a landscape setting as well as original setting, in other words to flip the app.
