StrengthLog – Workout Tracker
Ratings & Reviews
I LOVE this app. I have used it free, and as a Premium and both are amazing. I love that the Free access is NOT so limited! You can still do so much with it! I am not a body builder or hardcore lifter, I’m simply doing my daily workouts to better myself so the Free version has everything I need and more, and the Premium version is a cherry on top with more variety. I will keep loving this app.
Developer ResponseThank you so much for this kind review, it makes us very happy to hear! Best regards, Sandrine
I love this app. I use it for years.
This app is amazing, lots of info, the only thing I dont like is that when I do a workout in my program, I can’t automatically update my template wich make it hard to know my set/weights/reps from last time I did the workout
Developer ResponseHi Simon,Thank you for your feedback. We are currently working on a feature like that, I can't give you any promises on when though. Until then, you are able to use the function called "Retrieve from log" while building your templates and the app will collect the weights from your last workout. Kind regards, Sandrine
Great tracker. Can see past lifts, for example, you can see weight and reps you did last workout. Can make many workout plans. Can write comments on exercises. Can switch an exercise mid workout. I tried 3 apps before this and this one gave me everything I was looking for. The previous apps would either not have it, or lock it behind a paywall.
Developer ResponseThank you so much for a kind review! I'm glad to hear that the app meets your needs :) Kind regards Sandrine
For some reason my previous (critical) review was never posted. They’ve completed ruined the layout of this app. The stupid “quick stats” thing is something nobody asked for or will use. Think about it - the most easily accessible things should be features people will use while working out. I’m not checking my 1 rep max in between sets. Also, I don’t know if maybe English isn’t their first language, but some of the vocabulary choices are strange. Why would you choose “handle exercise” for accessing the timer, changing the exercise, etc? You guys have fallen into the trap that so many apps do, which is cramming the app as full of features as possible. It looks messy and convoluted now, and I’ll be looking for a more simplistic app. Let’s see if you allow this one to be posted…
Developer ResponseWe have zero control over which reviews are posted here; that's controlled by Apple.Check out this article from our helpdesk to learn about the useful shortcuts we have in active workouts, for when you want to change an exercise, access an exercise history, reorder exercises, change from warm-up to working sets, and more, by either swiping or long-pressing: https://help.strengthlog.com/help-article/shortcuts-in-an-active-workout/As we wrote in the v8.1 release note, when that sub-menu was changed, we needed to make this change to add new features without making that screen even more cluttered. (Quick Stats has been around since version 1.0 of the app, by the way.) The old menu took up the whole screen, leaving no space for new features. The exercise-specific timer is hidden under the“Handle exercise” option because you only need to access it when setting an exercise-specific rest interval that differs from your regular timer setting (a change most users make quite rarely). If you're often changing how long you rest between sets, it's always been much faster just tapping the big timer at the bottom of your screen.I hope you find another app that better aligns with what you want, but you're always welcome back to this one!Best regards,Philip Wildenstam
Been using the app for the past 3 years. Good app overall but not with their crazy price of $15usd
Developer ResponseThank you for your feedback. We've tried to make the free version as complete as possible, but some advanced programs/tools are behind premium. If you feel like the pricing is to high, our ambition is that you could get a lot out of our free version instead :) Best regards, Sandrine
Just the best app
Developer ResponseThank you so much! Best, Sandrine
I was looking for an app to track workouts as well as plans for awhile. This is that app! Definitely worth a try! The free version, has a decent amount of things, like workout tracking, planning, goals and more. As well as specific training workouts you can follow. It has tons of specific exercises with video examples that are great. It’s definitely a good place to start. No ads either which is a nice change. Now why is it a 4 star not a 5? Simply because there is SO much locked behind a paywall. That’s not necessarily a deal breaker, but I feel like there are simple things, that could be apart of the free version.Like seeing the diagram of your muscles worked over the week. But that shouldn’t deter you. It’s great for beginners and experienced. I also haven’t figured how to go back and look at previous workouts. That might be payed as well, or I’m blind idk. Anyways. Download it and try!
Developer ResponseHi, thank you for your kind review and for you feedback! Almost everything in the app is free (and ad-free, as mentioned), but more advanced statistics, programs and program building tools are premium features. To find your previous workouts, just scroll through your training log. If you want guidance on how to find them, just shoot us an email at app@strengthlog.com :) Best, Sandrine
Been using this app over the course of 3 months and it has served me well. I use the free version and haven’t encountered any restrictions like other apps and highly recommended it. My only issue I wish the developer would allow for tweaking of the imperial and metric units as someone who uses metric for cardio and imperial for weight training it’s quite annoying to have to switch between all the time.
Developer ResponseThank you for the kind review! I'll add your suggestion to our wishlist as well! :) Best regards, Sandrine
Crazy app, most paid app don't even have all the fonctions that the free version of this have. Unlimited workout templates, can track all measurements and bodyweight daily and have a chart. Can create custom exercises. Shows all muscles worked. Can set objectives. **Can upload videos of sets to keep the same form over time**. And more !!! Thanks to the developers for such great app.
Developer ResponseThank you so much for this kind review! I'm glad that you like it :) Best regards, Sandrine
